Airtel The Voice Nigeria kicks off for Season Two

Airtel Nigeria is not relenting in her efforts to give the nation a voice! The exciting Season One of “Airtel The Voice Nigeria” saw A’rese emerge as winner. This show has practically gotten us stuck to our screens as Nigeria’s leading music talent show.

Viewers should be excited about the new member of the judging panel, Yemi Alade. Tuface Idibia will be replaced by the great Tumbum singer, and this alone adds some spice to the second season of this talent hunt.

The auditions held all over Nigeria and on Sunday 18th June, the second season of “The Voice Nigeria” was launched. Since its launch in 2010, ‘The Voice’ has reached audiences in countries like the US, Australia, South Africa and the UK. Great artistes have occupied the show’s famous red chairs as coaches.

In the first season, A’rese of #teamwaje emerged winner of the grand prize of an SUV and a recording contract with Universal Music. The second season will not be any less exciting as the winner is set to get a recording contract with Universal Group, an SUV worth N7m along with a trip to Dubai.

If this is not a way to give back to art and creativity in Nigeria, I wonder what would qualify. The international reach and exposure this show commands showcases emerging talents and sends a song signal that Nigeria is investing heavily in her own.
