Uzodinma Iweala‘s amazing book ‘Beasts Of No Nation’ was brought to technicolour life earlier this year to rave reviews, managing to bag 13 nominations including a Golden Globe for Idris Elba and winning the Breakthrough Performance award at the American National Board of Review for Abraham Attah, the young protagonist of the film.
With a film that monumental, it was only a matter of time before it came to Africa, and wow, did it come with a bang!
The film premiered at the Silverbird Galleria, Lagos, and was attended by the great and the good, not just of the film industry, but also of my city that likes showmanship and famzing more than anything else!
Everyone was dressed to the nines; this is Lagos after all, and this is what Lagosians do best, and the event was attended by some amazeballs people. See below:
Nse Ikpe-Etim was also at the event, looking flawlessly casual and having a good time ahead of the Lagos premiere for FIFTY scheduled tomorrow, 13th December, and promising to be a mind-blowing event:

There’s something about the Elba Magic; no woman is immune. Ngozi Okono-Iweala, who, quite frankly, should have her mind on other things, was smiling coquettishly at Idris like a lovestruck teenager while requesting a hug from The Chocolate One:
#NOI sef dey famz #IdrisElba LoL
