Our dreams of watching the rugby world cup being brought to England via beefy, gorgeous men came to a crashing halt tonight as the Australian Wallabies annihilated the English team.

The Wallabies put up a heck of a fight, and there was no doubt as to the superior team on the field as it seemed as though the English team lacked direction and focus.
The English captain, Chris Robshaw had this to say after the match:
As you imagine the changing room is a very quiet place. We feel we let the country down today. As players we didn’t quite get there. We apologise to them. Australia played very well – but we’re gutted. Credit to Australia, we knew across the board that they would put us under pressure and they were good today. The yellow card for Owen Farrell was tough, we started to build a little momentum but left ourselves a little too much to do. We felt we built up some pressure but credit to their defence.
Indeed, the head coach, Stuart Lancaster, may find his job at risk. His contract should run for another five years, but when quizzed on if his position is tenable, he said “Well, yeah. But I wouldn’t think it would just be me. But it’s not for now. It’s too raw at the moment.”

English fans took to Twitter to express their disappointment in epic form:
Being English:
1 Invent a game, 2 Get the world to play it, 3 Get the world to play it better than you, 4 Invite the world round, 5 Lose.— Peter Knight (@peterknightblog) October 3, 2015
ITV calling this World Cup a rugby party …and we're now left just doing the catering, watching on #ENGvAUS #RWC2015

The Wallabies, however, are a mighty fine bunch of men 🙂
So fickle, Viva Naija. So fickle!
