A truce of sorts seems to have been reached in Zimbabwe amidst all the drama of a bespoke “coup d’etat”, as its government just announced the resignation of 94 year-old Robert Mugabe as its President.
In a tweet from its official Twitter account, the Zimbabwean government said Mugabe will resign from the Presidency, paving way for the installation of former and fired Vice president, Emmerson Mnangagwa, as new President.
