From the moment when the bookmakers tipped Jurgen Klopp to replace the much-maligned Brendan Rodgers, to the the point when he was unveiled moments ago, my Scouser friends have been shouting ‘Uhuru’, but, really, it’s not yet.
Klopp is a fiery Manager no doubt, but judging by the famed toughness, unpredictability and the competitive nature especially at the top half of the English Premier League, the Reds and their teeming fans should be cautiously optimistic about the Klopp impact.
The club announced the £7 million-a-year 3-year deal in an official statement, saying:
“Liverpool Football Club are delighted to announce Jürgen Klopp has been appointed as the club’s new manager,” an official statement read.
“The German coach has signed a deal to take the helm at the Reds and will be presented at a press conference at Anfield on Friday morning.”
Expectedly, there seems to be a return of topflight football from the Meyerside Red, and would also be definitely nice to see Liverpool FC play among the big boys in Europe again.
Meanwhile, beaming ceaseless smiles and in a Mourhino-esque way during his first press conference, the new Liverpool Manager tagged himself “The Normal one”, and promised to win the league title for the Kop soonest, within the next 4 years.
Okay oh Oga #TheNormalOne
His first game in charge will be next Saturday, away to Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League.
