Tegbe Foundation to provide non-interest loans to 1,000 traders in Oyo State


The Tegbe Foundation has announced the provision of non interest loans to over 1,000 traders, artisans, farmers and market women across Oyo State. This was revealed during the visit of the foundation to Oyo to celebrate the end of the holy month of Ramadan.

The Tegbe Foundation loan scheme is a program to compliment the developmental strides and achievement of the current Ajimobi government and assist in improving the quality of life for widows, single mothers and also hard working men.

Speaking during an interaction session with the people of Oyo town, Mr Olasunkanmi Joseph Tegbe, the founder of Tegbe Foundation, said, “for the past 5 years I have provided support for small businesses, family and people across the state but it’s time to put a sustainable structure around our philanthropic initiatives.”

“We plan to develop a program that is sustainable and ties to a global initiative of financial inclusion so we can attract more support for our State, making people in rural areas more reachable for funding opportunities. I have a commitment to further improving the quality of life in Oyo State and will continue to create opportunities that will contribute to the socio-economic development of our state.” 

He further stressed that, “today’s world is driven by data and this program will help gather data that can be used for creating more impactful programs, informed policy development and implementation.”

The Tegbe foundation loan scheme is poised to provide beneficiaries with non-interest loans of up to 100,000 for traders across the state. The program will also open the opportunity to educate the beneficiaries of the loan on basic business management skills that will help them put the money to better use and improve their business and by extension the society.

The Foundation’s Executive Director, Mr Femi Adeleke in his remark said “the foundation has a long term commitment to contributing to the socio-economic development of the people of Oyo State. We have designed a programs around the philanthropic endeavor of the founder to it can achieve more impact and reach a wider range of people. This program we believe will not only provide the support for the people of Oyo but will also improve the quality of live that of their children and family as a whole.”

The Tegbe Foundation’s activities started about 5 years ago when the founder identified the critical contributions that provide progressive government the support to speed up various developmental gaps. 

The foundation through Mr Tegbe, has since then provided education assistance and contributed many community development projects within and outside Oyo state. 

The activities of the foundation focuses on Agriculture, education, ICT, Governance and community development.
