On Wednesday, some hoodlums stormed the supposedly “hallowed” Senate Chamber, award worthingly went past security, grabbed the mace, and dragged for it!
Hmmm.. I am seriously trying to feign all seriousness here. OK!
The plenary was ‘casually’ disrupted, while the wanna-be sergeants-at-arms struggled with the men to retrieve the mace, and failed.
In a Senate Chamber..
It’s a joke.
Do I even need to explain any further what kind of joke this is?
I’ll save my breath for convincing the embassy to grant me my visa to leave this false entirety called Nigeria.

Today, the Senate has continued with the day’s plenary. Another mace has been placed where the previous one was snatched from.
The lawmakers resumed plenary after coming out of an Executive (closed door) Session where the earlier incident of forceful removal of the mace was deliberated upon.
The joint session resolved that the Inspector General of Police, Ibrahim Idris; and the Director General of the Department of State Services, Lawal Daura, must recover the stolen mace “within 24 hours.”
Deputy Speaker of the House, Yusuf Lasun, who led the Reps, stated that there would not be a democracy without a functional legislature.
