Nigeria continues to be a country of firsts and now this: we are pleased and proud to present to you Dr Ogadinma Mgbajah – the very first first female heart surgeon in Nigeria. Not just Nigeria, but West Africa as a whole!
The wonderfully talented doctor is the only female in her graduating class and her smile says it all:

The course she chose to study and the path she chose to stay on is certainly not for the faint-hearted. Cardiothoracic surgery is one of the hardest, most brutal courses and only the strong indeed survive. And survive, this trailblazer did!
