P-Square are back together again. Wait, did you hear they’d split up?

I don’t know what I am doing with my life, I really don’t. Nothing I know in this life wey I come. P-Square are back together?

Okay, wait. I know there was some brouhaha. Something something…Jude wanted something…Usher (Peter Okoye) wasn’t feeling it…Bob Marley (Paul Okoye) was Team “The Family That Sings Together Stays Together”, but wallahi, it did not make a dent on my radar of things to worry about at all.

You see, I have hit puberty for a while now and I got these bills. My ass is grown, so I was NOT one of these girls cryin’ and dyin’ when they heard the twins had split.

Also (and how do I phrase this delicately?), I knew it wouldn’t last. They made a powerful team, a moneyed team, and they would miss that money, status and power.

The P-Square Brand

Half of the attraction of P-Square is their story and their brand. A set of twins managed by their older brother. A family business that started from the bottom to the top. They’re not Mavin or YBNL; just three brothers making music. One can dance, one can sing, one can manage. Finish.

Who were they going to tag-team with that will meet or beat the might of the P-square brand? Do you think they’re ready to go back to pushing RAV-4s? Go back to living in flats? Stop eet!!! Quarrel must settle sharperly!

The Instagram Video

Anyway, they’re back, and since it’s Peter who started the loudspeaker, it was only appropriate that he finish it. here is his Instgaram post informing his fans that the P-Square train is back on the tracks!

My dear fans, P-Square is back. Ours is a journey that started from our mother’s womb. It was a journey that started from Primary School, continued to St. Murumba College, to when we were in University in Abuja. It was a journey in which we shared childhood memories and grown-up dreams. We are back because brothers do not let each other wander in the dark alone. We are back because we have tried the lonely road and it was not the same. I want to take responsibility for what has happened and sincerely apologise to you our fans. For supporting us throughout this journey we owed you so much more than what you have had to endure and I apologise for that. We are embarking now on a new journey with exciting new management (Jude Okoye), new music and new ideas. We cannot thank you enough for all your prayers and support throughout this difficult period. Maya Angelou once said that brotherhood is a condition that people have to work at. We will continue to work on that and you can be prepared to be blown away by this new phase of P-Square. God bless you all and be assured that you have not seen anything yet! Peter Okoye P-Square

  1. I am happy for you guys being together again please Nigerians appreciated Psquare more and that is why no matter what you guys do as individuals it will be hard to get the support as u did as individuals. Already its as though Nigerians have moved on without you guys a lesson that fame may go away but family is all you got.
