Omoni Oboli has been one of those actors who has been making waves in Nollywood steadily for a long time now, and she simply gets better and better!

Her new film, The First Lady, is a testament to that growth and the excellent work she continues to do. And the fact that she is a family woman with no scandal against her name or rumours about casting couch shenanigans makes me love her even more.

She writes, directs, stars and produces this film – a juggernaut of a woman!

SYNOPSIS: In a classic Cinderella like story, a prostitute, Michelle, is stuck in a world she couldn’t escape from. Her hope that one day a Prince Charming would rescue her from it all, seems lost . A heir to an empire, Kenechi, is transformed into a child by an overly ambitious uncle who wants the empire to himself. Bound by a shared destiny, Michelle finds that she might be doing the rescuing until she realises there’s no escaping her pimp, who would do anything to keep her as his First Lady.

Before anybody starts asking me why this level of famzing, lemme just come clean and say that Mrs Oboli is a long-time friend. We go way way back to secondary school, and I have always known her to be classy, graceful and dignified. She continues to be all kinds of luscious even today.

I can’t wait for this film to come out and can only hope there will be a UK Premiere so I can go support this amazing woman doing her thang!
