Former Governor of Ondo State Withdraws From 2019 Presidential Race

A former Governor of Ondo State, and presidential candidate of the Zenith Labour Party, Dr. Olusegun Mimiko, has withdrawn from the presidential race.

Mimiko said he would now be participating in the election for the Ondo Central Senatorial District of Ondo State.

He announced his withdrawal from the presidential race while meeting with party faithful from the 18 local government areas of Ondo State and some national leaders of the party in Ondo town on Thursday.

Mimiko said, “I took the decision in the ultimate interest of our party, the Zenith Labour Party, Ondo State and the country.

“I will now be running as the candidate of the ZLP for Ondo Central Senatorial district next year.”
