Listen. You can’t tell me Kanye West doesn’t have some black belt village people. Village people who are focused on their singular task of spoiling his life for him. Some bad-ass spirits bent on ruining everything he’s ever worked to build. And they’re doing it through the most ridiculous of channels – his refusal to pick up a book and actually educate himself, which has led to his somewhat misguided admiration of Trump and a bunch of other racist people.
Let me be clear: I do not think being Republican necessarily means you are racist. Matter of fact, most black people are conservative in any of their views – penal system, abortion, homosexuality or taxation rights. My people stand tall and proud on that “If it don’t concern me, you can burn the whole lot of them” school of thought.
No, I think Kanye is myopic because Trump is an out and out racist. His comments on Mexicans, Blacks, and just about every other race that is not Aryan makes it clear that he’d just round the whole lot of us up and burn us if he could.
But this admiration does not surprise me: both of them get their news from Twitter and despise any knowledge to be found between the pages of a book.
And still, this would not be the work of village people. After all, there are people on Fox News who align with Trump. The difference between them and Ye, however, is that while these people are seasoned professionals who are paid for their political opinions, Kanye is paid for music. Singles, seats on bums in concert venues, and performances at the Super Bowl.
If you jeopardise ALL of that with a few ill-considered tweets, if you wipe off 9 million Twitter followers in just ten minutes, then that right there? That’s premium self-sabotage.
Because I assure you Trump ain’t gonna buy a single concert ticket and he’s not gonna give you a job at the White House. Shoot, he just fired Omarosa. He ain’t got time for all your shenanigans, Yeezy.
The only thing “Dragon energy” has done for Kanye west is lose him 9million followers – some of them, the biggest influencers of Black culture today, and, dang! Some of his own in-laws too!
Harry Styles, Kendrick Lamar, Rihanna, John Legend and Chrissy Teigen are some of the people who have unfollowed him, and Kylie Jenner Khloe and Kourtney Kardashian are apparently not happy with him either, unfollowing him following his Twitter outburst.
We saw this coming a year ago, we’re just sad that him and his man boobs let it come to this. Get well soon, Kanye. Or don’t. We will be aiight without you.
