Mo Adeniran knocked the The Voice judges out of the park when his rendition of Iron Sky had all four turning their chairs.

But who is the hotel worker who proved the bookies right and has gone on to WIN the competition?

Who is Mo Adeniran?

Mo currently works night shifts in a hotel but is determined to make his mark as an artist.

The 21-year-old Nigerian singer battled to find his voice following a secret double tragedy that he hid from The Voice cameras.

According to the Mirror, Mo overcome the odds to appear on the show after he suffering the heartbreak of losing one of his closest friends.

He came to The Voice with best friend Max Vickers, who made it through to the semis, after producers scouted him out for the show.

What is Mo Adeniran’s background?

Mo was adopted into a family at the age of three – only to be taken away again at the age of eight after it was discovered his adoptive mother was abusive.

He told Daily Star Sunday: “Social services stepped in. They saved me. It was a physical thing. She could be very hands on at times. Things happened that weren’t right.”

The star was then placed back into social services and his turbulent family life led him to go off the rails as a teen.

This came to a head when Mo lost his close pal in 2015 after he died from a drug overdose.

Mike Carter, who was one of Mo’s bandmates, battled with an addiction to painkillers which he was taking for chronic back pain.

Tragically, Mo suffered another personal loss when his friends from the band Viola Beach died in a car crash last year.

The band, also from Warrington, were to play at a tribute concert for Mike before the accident Sweden which killed Kris Leonard, River Reeves, Tomas Lowe, and Jack Dakin.

What was Mo Adeniran’s journey on The Voice?

21-year-old Mo won his place in the Jennifer Hudson’s team after battling against Diamond in the sing-offs.

Jennifer decided to keep Mo after he impressed with his version of A Change Is Gonna Come by Sam Cooke.

Mo sang Iron Sky by Paolo Nutini in his first audition, getting all four judges to turn around and despite pleas from the others, Mo opted for Jennifer as his mentor.

Even though she lost the battle, all was not lost for Diamond, she was stolen by Gavin.

In the Knockout show Mo was saved by the public and in the quarter-final Jennifer chose Mo to got through to next week.

During the semi-final round Mo was chosen by the public to go through to the FINAL.

For this year’s show Sir Tom Jones and will.i.am returned to the fold and welcomed new judges Jennifer Hudson and Gavin Rossdale

What happened to Mo Adeniran during the final?

Mo Adeniran stormed through to the final this weekend.

On Saturday night he battled it out against Into the Ark, Jamie and Michelle to win one of the last three places in Sunday’s grand final.

At this stage in the competition judges Sir Tom Jones and newbies Gavin Rossdale and Jennifer Hudson, veteran judge Will.i.am have lost their power.

Having made it through to the very last show Mo, Jamie and Into the Ark each performed again to win the public vote. After Jamie was eliminated it was down to the final showdown between Mo and Into the Ark before Mo eventually claimed victory.
