This should probably be the sixth or seventh armed robbery incident involving almost 40 heavily armed robbers, invading banks, carting money away, maiming unsuspecting civilians and policemen in the process.
When I saw these pictures, I thought “cause and effect” and while I couldn’t absolve the greed of the robbers, I also couldn’t absolve the bad economic, high unemployment indices, and the palpable rate of poverty in the country.
Sad. Sad.
The armed robbers attacked four commercial banks in the Agbara area, killing a nursing mother and two policemen including a corporal identified as Kadiri Aliyu. It was learnt that the robbers arrived around 8.30am and reportedly carted away millions of naira from Zenith Bank.
