5 Songs You Need On Your Playlist This Week

0

You may have heard that Wizkid is releasing a new album soon, he even posted snippets live on his instagram.

You must have listened to the new Burna Boy EP with DJDS and yes, 2019 will again be his year, but with all the new music this week, is your playlist really up to date? And even if it is or isn’t, are you listening to the best of songs??

It is quite easy to get lost in the pool of releases on a daily from Nigerian and International artists, and the sheer volume can a times be overwhelming.

But you should know, that these five songs will get you going on high vibes this week.

These songs may have somehow evaded your radar, or not. But if so, this will be a good way to share it with others. *wink

Here are 5 songs you need on your playlist this week.

  1. If OnlyJames Arthur

James Arthur - Back from the Edge

The fall from grace may be an established part of the reality narrative, but the X Factor U.K winner, my love indeed, James Arthur victoriously flips the script in his recent album, Back from the Edge.

I would recommend you download this album, but if you are having any doubts about my all time favorite artist, why don’t you listen to this song first. It took me a while to decide which one you can listen to first. But here goes!

  1. Swimming PoolBoybreed

Boybreed - Swimming Pool

Came across this single recently, and totally vibed with it! It is a sweet cool I bet you’ll like; one of these songs that would make you stop to pay some attention. The harmony is just lovely.

Using carefully crafted lyrics, the twin brothers take turns to softly persuade their lover to try something more adventurous like making love in the Swimming Pool.

Science has overtime proven a connection between sensual music and the art of lovemaking.

With swimming Pool,  Boybreed have not only marked their territory as the kings of sensual vibes; they have also established their music as an essential tool for sexual therapy.

  1. ToastKoffee

Koffee - Toast songs you should have on your playlist

If you are a lover of lyrics, harmony, and beats. You will like to have this added to your playlist too. It’s quite different, and that’s another reason why I love it.

Meet the vibrant new voice of Jamaican reggae, Mikayla Simpson popularly referred to as Koffee. She’s only 19 years old by the way!

Toast is the raggae music causing commotion right now, so if you haven’t heard it yet, download it.

  1. Psycho (feat. Ty Dollar $ign) – Post Malone

Post Malone - Beerbongs & Bentleys

Post Malone has been labeled a hip-hop artist, but his album ‘beerbongs & bentleys’ says he’s a rockstar too! Yes, indeed.

The beerbongs & bentleys universe is one of partying, girls, money, and expensive clothings, but Malone makes no secret of the downsides to success.

He is totally relatable!

You’ll love having his songs added to your playlist.

  1. Email (feat. DYo)

Email - Loick Essien (feat. D-Yo)

Loick Essien featured my favorite Nigerian artist here; D-Yo, and they killed it!

Loick Essien is a singer/songwriter from London, arguably recognized as the best male vocalist in the urban scene.

D-Yo (Dayo Olatunji) on the other hand, is a Nigerian. May I tell you however, that she is an Ivor Novella nominated, multi-platinum selling English singer-songwriter? Uhuh. I’m proud of her!

Just listen to the song first, and tell me how it grew on you!

Enjoy!!
