Sir Roger Moore, who starred in the iconic James Bond 007 films in the 1970s and ’80s, has died after a “short but brave battle with cancer.” He was 89 years old.
“With the heaviest of hearts, we must share the awful news that our father, Sir Roger Moore, passed away today. We are all devastated,” his family posted on his official Twitter account Tuesday morning.

And while my heart fluttered for Sean Connery the whole time, there is no doubt that Sir Roger Moore’s English charms were a great asset to the franchise.
Rest in peace, Sir Roger Moore. You are loved.
