In December 2015, I was analysing how I communicate with the lovely bunch of people on my mailing list. To be honest, I was contemplating reducing the number of times I send emails/newsletters out. I was bombarded with so many emails myself, I was beginning to feel sorry for my subscribers’ inboxes. And that’s with me knowing that in comparison to some other businesses, my communication is minimal.
So I was invited to a meeting in January to deliver a seminar and this lovely lady walked up to me afterwards and said something that warmed my heart. She said “I get your newsletter every month (since 2012) and I always read them. I use the information to encourage and motivate my team.” She confessed that she doesn’t reply to it but I should be rest assured she always reads and enjoys each one. Well if that is not a divine sign, I do not know what is. This actually happens to me quite often when I am thinking “maybe I should skip this month”.
So my question to you is: are you ready to take the plunge and start communicating better with your subscribers? I mean people that actually want to hear from you?
If you are not in business, it doesn’t mean you can’t start building your list. Actually I will suggest you do so before you start off, a blog could easily get you going. That way, you are able to engage with people of common interest way before you start offering your goods or services.
If you currently run a business/group here are some benefits of Email Marketing:
1. Constant Contact
It helps keep you in constant contact with your target market. Because people actually subscribe to your list, you know you are sending information to those who are interested in what you have to offer. This helps streamline your information and marketing so you can focus on those that really matter to your business/group.
2. Low Cost
No more stuffing envelopes with information that no one will take notice of and you get to redecue the cost of stationery and postage. Now all you need is just a subscription fee and if you are not a writer, a VA to help you with your content.
3. Fast and Easy
It is quite easy to engage in email marketing. Most email marketing companies such as Constant Contact, Mailchimp and Aweber have ready-made templates you can use. Constant Contact even offer to clone your website as your template if you request for this option within 60 days of signing up as a client. Even if you do not have a website, you can still use this medium to communicate with your subscribers.
4. Global Reach
You can reach as many people as your heart desires. I have people signed up for my newsletter from all over the world. I connect with them at the touch of a button, how great is that?
5. Expert Status
By providing information people want, you establish yourself as an expert in your field and can considerable increase your business reach.
So are you ready to give it a try this year? Check out some information, videos from Constant Contact (my preferred partner because I love things that are super easy) and sign up for a 60 days FREE test drive. Click here to visit their website and see the benefits of email marketing.
Let me know how you get on. If you need a little bit of help to get things going please get in touch. I have many successful email marketers under my belt who are now florishing nicely.
I wish you business blessings.
