Baby, Pana! Ees like I’m here for Tekno and his wahala o! [WATCH VIDEO]

Let me start by saying that none of these young guns can take the place of my Bariga Boo, Olamide Baddosneh of Lyfe. But these Igbo boys are starting to make me feel things! I mean, first there was Flavour Nabania. His ikwokirikwo was the illest. And then came Phyno Fino. Chei, I was Team Yellow Daddy Long Legs for a long time. I’m still bopping to Fada Fada on the daily. Tekno is the latest to rock my boat though with his hit after hit of auditory niceness.

Tekno Pana is cool, calm and sensuous. If there was anyone out there thinking this young man was a one hit wonder, they would have to rethink that vibe. Alhaji Tekno went from Duro to Wash to Where and now, Pana. Yes, I know he sang other songs in between, but these are my JAMS.

I think his speciality is the simplicity of his lyrics. He’s no Shakespeare and he’s not trying to form it either.

The Video

I know our readers are a faithless, chill-deficient bunch of people. I know you will soon insult me and say “Haba, are you just hearing the song?!” No o, I am not just hearing it o, all you bad-mouth people. But the video is just a week old and London flenjo didn’t allow somebody to see road since.

Tekno now fancies himself as an Igbo Samurai and no, I have no idea who or what that is either. He’s also done the weird mohawk or half cut that all my Igbo boos seems to favour, so I guess he’s been properly initiated.

Ummm…what else can I say about the video? The geh inside is very yellow but that seems to be an industry-wide affliction. If you’re any shade darker than snow, Tekno ain’t trying to mess with you. But that’s about it, the rest of it is fine. Oh, there was a lot of Asian writing on the walls and stuff, but again, that’s back to the whole Igbo Samurai thing. Oh, and Clarence shot it.
