There are many things wrong with Nigeria, but Kogi State seems particularly accursed. I hear that Gov Yahaya Bello of Kogi State still owes a huge number of civil servants and pensioners 17 (SEVENTEEN) months arrears.
Please breathe deeply and think of that! SEVENTEEN months of surviving without getting your duly earned income??
SEVENTEEN MONTHS!!!!
This is disgraceful. It is shameful that the governor, his cabinet and members of his government continue to draw billions in salaries, allowances and security votes monthly; while thousands of ordinary Kogites are not getting a single kobo of their overdue salaries & pensions.
This salary arrears wickedness, means that Gov Yahaya Bello ranks as among the worst Governor in the nation – imho.
When an employer strips people of their honestly earned salary, they also strip those people of their dignity, their hope, their feeling of security and their ability to provide for their families.
Gov Yahaya Bello is clothing his people with shame, hopelessness, helplessness, despair and hunger. But hey, what does it matter? His agbada is fleeksome, his wristwatch is dazzling, and his smile is winning, right? 😒
Governor Bello, please stop with the many excuses. Just pay your civil servants and pensioners!
