After months of anticipation and media hubbub, the latest offering from the much-loved Ian Fleming’s series, SPECTRE premiered in London yesterday at the Royal Albert Hall to the viewing delight of Prince William, his gorgeous wife, Kate Middleton, and the ever-charming Prince Harry.
The ruggedly handsome Daniel Craig, the sixth actor to take on the mantle as the suave secret service agent, James Bond, attended the sophisticated première with his two leading ladies, Monica Bellucci and Léa Seydoux, in attendance. However, it was clear that only one woman held his heart and that was his real-life leading lady, Rachel Weisz, with whom he maintained contact throughout the meet-and-greet with the royal siblings.
Also on the red carpet were Ben Whishaw looking every inch the groomed gentleman in a sleek tuxedo; David Bautista with his partner; and Naomie Harris looking absolutely flawless in a floor-length burnt orange gown.
Joan Collins brought her trademark elegance that she is now known for, and Sam Smith was present as he took the coveted baton of being the singer songwriter on this Bond film.
Other celebrities on the red carpet included Gareth Bale looking very dapper alongside his partner Emma Rhys-Jones, and Ronan Keating with his lovely wife Storm Uechtritz.
Director Sam Mendes was on hand to usher in his triumph of a film, and if insider critics are to be believed, SPECTRE is another perfectly cut jewel in the James Bond crown.
