Leicester City FC are Champions of England – They just rewrote history with the ink of Legend

Leicester City FC are Champions

At the beginning of the 2015-2016 English Premier League, 30 premier League experts were assembled by the BBC to fact-fully predict who will win the league for the new season. A whooping 22 out of the 30 predicted with facts, that Jose Mourhino’s Chelsea would defend the title and win the 2015-2016 EPL crown.

Again, bookmakers put the odds of Leicester City winning the title at an unbelievably high but understandable 5000/1. Read that again…five thousand!!

But, 36 games later, Leicester City FC who survived by a whisker last season has just won the league…

Chelsea meanwhile, tinkered with relegation, are now in 10th position and had Jose Mourhino sacked along the way…

No superstars.
No money.
No fancy stadium.
No excuses.
No fear.
Just passion, hunger, desire & determination…

Leicester City FC just did stuff of lasting legend. Without doubt, this is the greatest story in football and will be so for a long while.

From the Manager of this victorious team, Claudio Ranieri, to each of the players in this Leicester team, this victory sums a touching personal story. Ranieri has always almost won but always came 2nd, Jamie Vardy almost quit football. ..Robert Huth was let go by Stoke, Riyad Mahrez was an unused substitute this same time last year, Mark Schwarzer just won the Premier League title back-to-back by sitting mostly on bench, Kasper Schmeichel, the first choice keeper, and his dad become the only second father and son duo to win the Premier League title…and so on.

Actually, no exact words can really describe this legendary birthing into history. ..none, the feat is simply ineffable.

Viva Naija says hearty Congratulations to the fearless Foxes of Leicester!
