Reekado Banks releases Oluwa Ni, showing his talent and deserved rise to fame [WATCH]

After his chaotic Headies Awards win at the start of the year where his silence and maturity was probably my most respected part of the hoopla, Reekado Banks unleashes Oluwa Ni, a song that reminds us just how good he is and why he deserved to be on that list.

We all got so caught up with the headliners of the public brawl that we nearly forgot the people involved – Li’l Kesh and Reekado Banks.

But he didn’t slip nor falter. The young man just keeps grinding and here we are just a fortnight later with the result of all that hard work – a faboosh song that tells of his gratitude to God for his one chance, for the meteoric rise he’s experienced, for the opportunity to get his mum a house, and for every blessing he’s experienced.

And while humility looks good on him, there’s no getting away from the fact that the young man is talented. Reekado Banks can sing the hell out of a song and infuse feeling into music even when the base is upbeat and the tune is catchy and dancey.

The video still hollers at the mainstream, there is boobage and ukwulicious tinz aplenty to ogle at:

But all in all, we like it and we think this will become one of those ear worms – you won’t be able to get it out of your head after a while. Let us know what you think!
