UK Nollywood now on YouTube for global viewers? Yes, please!

You can’t outdo Nigerians. Anywhere they go, excellence follows. Nollywood used to be a film industry that was tied to the shores of Nigeria, but this is rapidly becoming a thing of the past. Now there are micro versions of our industry in all corners of the globe.

There is a small, bustling community known as the UK Nollywood scene. Every skill required to make up the film industry exists and is making waves. Producers, directors, actors, marketers, distributors; the industry is here to stay.

One of the better known members of this industry is Ms Toyin Moore. Starting from humble beginnings, Ms Moore is now something of a household name when it comes to UK Nollywood. From TUMINI’S SONG to CAPTIVATED to 69, she has steadily built a portfolio of work to be proud of.

To this end, it only made sense to open a YouTube channel and open her work to the viewing public. There is not doubt that the world has now gone digital so this is a smart move for the producer and actress.

The first film to be available for viewing is the brilliant CAPTIVATED. Starring a host of UK Nollywood actors, the film tells the story of liberation from hurt and the search for true love. Most noteworthy amongst the actors are Ken Smart, Oladapo Opayinka AKA Oloja.com, Doyin Amodu, Roseline Sanni Ajose and Lydia Olet; names you should remember as they will be bringing you plenty of good work going forward!
