I’m not gonna lie, I thought the boy was too cute to not meme! His chubby little face tho! You just know he will have a BLACK BELT in writing down names of noise makers in class! Or writing that cheque that pays the IOU you’ve been troubling him for since morning. His studious, concentrated, almost vexed face is BAE!

But more than just a viral internet sensation, there is a beautiful story behind the face we’ve come to love. His name is Jake Amo, and his picture was captured by Solomon Adufah, a Ghanaian artist currently based in Chicago.
Adufah is passionate about mentoring and helping children with art, and returns home to Ghana from frequently to do just this. He has travelled to Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda, teaching and mentoring children.
The unbelievably cute 4-year-old was writing pensively at a local creative workshop which was organised by Adufah in Amo’s village of Asempanaye, Koforidua, in Ghana.
After seeing that little Jake became an internet sensation, Adufah resolved to help the boy the best way he could. He started a GoFundMe with a goal to help support Jake’s tuition from primary school through secondary school and beyond.
I can’t believe how fabulous this is! Something amazing has finally come out of the internet! Used to be, it was just pictures of cats and porn, and then along came Jake Amo. And we could not be more pleased!
The project has raised $13,000 out of a possible $20k so your widow’s mite would go an amazingly long way in this boy’s life.
Let's continue to Support Jake: https://t.co/6ng0T3CRmc
