You know how it goes: you know you’re going to a comedy show. You’re preparing yourself for a good time. You know it’s going to be a Naija comedy show, so you’re dressed to kill cos Naija babes don’t play.
But nothing could have prepared me for the humour. Just the non-stop roars of laughter as comedian after comedian really did attempt to do me an injury!
AY the Comedian, Okey Bakassi, Oyinbo Princess, Aphrican Ape, Kojo the Prince of Hackney, Buchi, Seyi Brown and so many others made the night an event to remember. Buchi was my FAVOURITE!!! I cried real tears as he just kept the jokes coming! I was weeping – mascara running tinz.
The highlight was the main man himself – Julius Agwu getting on his knees to thank God for sparing his life after a life-changing surgery. The audience felt his gratitude and joy and joined him to thank God for this amazing second chance. It was quite something to behold – praise after stepping back from the brink of death.
Korede Belle, Naija babes’ favourite shinkini boo rounded off the night with a couple of songs and the crowd-shaking, crowd-rousing God Win. It was so buns!
