There are a million diets out there promising everything, from quick-and-easy weight loss to everlasting youth, and most of the time, the sheer amount of advice hauled at one can be overwhelming.
Where do you start? How do you know which ones really work, so that you don’t end up buying into a fad and wasting your time?
I have looked over a hundred pages on the internet, strangely and insatiably trying to find easier aerobic exercises page by page, all in the guise of trying to find better ones.
I never achieved a month-long exercise or facial therapy, enough to give me the results I wanted. But somehow, I still manage to stay reliably ‘fit’, sometimes.
It’s comfortable this way, I think.
I have no interest in being obese. I have no interest in speaking for them. All I want to do is understand why it is a bad thing for your partner to want you (boy/girl, man/woman) to lose weight.
All the feminists could jump in this minute, talking about how “if a man loves a woman, he would respect HER, and let her make a choice for herself.”
People react differently to things.
People respond differently to things.
Let me try to speak for a man who loves his lady so much, but can’t understand why she would relax at being larger in size, and claim happiness. When the woman he married, or began dating, wasn’t nearly close to being fat before.
Now, he may or may not react to your change in body size as well as you want him to (pampering you to submission), but that doesn’t change the fact that, it is not okay. You rest on the ‘mean’ he supposedly oozes, and miss the love, passion, and human he is.
All you allow yourself to think about is that HE doesn’t love or respect you anymore. It is so easy to rest in self-hate thoughts so much that you feel other people hate you too. It’s so easy to blame the affector and feel sorry for the affected, that you begin to stand for something you don’t really understand.
It’s not hard to make decisions when you know what your values are.
But, there’s always two sides to every story.
