I’m in love with that man who doesn’t need validation
I’m in love with a very confident man
I used to be with someone who was so confident he would say “Natalie, I can only love you as much as I love myself”
Our men also need a lesson in building a healthy self esteem.
If you need a woman to self deprecate to make you feel more manly, you have self esteem issues.
If you need to be applauded before you feel like a man, you need a self esteem lesson.
What does that phrase “feel like a man?” even mean? What makes you less of a man?
Define who a man is.
Don’t you have all the physical features or do you possess breasts like a girl?
Why do I have to help you “feel like a man” by self depreciation?
Why do I have to enable your self aggrandisement by my self disparagement?
Why do I need to feed you ego by running myself down?
Why do I have to hide my achievements to cover your underachievement.
Why can’t you just be you, and I will be me without any collision of brightness.
A friend once asked what to do when your woman earns a lot more than you and you want to do your wedding.
I asked him how much he (or the man) had and he said it.
Then I asked him to focus on what he had and do everything according to HIS budget. Anything else that comes, awesome.
I respect strong men: those who know what they want and how to get it. I respect those who don’t need any validation to ascertain their biology as men -as it now seems to be others responsibility to make a human being feel like the sex they were created to be. I cannot wrap my head around that.
I respect men who know who they are regardless of what they have or don’t have.
Having a car doesn’t make you a man.
Not having a car doesn’t make you one.
Same with having money. Kill that mindset else you will turn to a sheep when broke and a wolf when rich.
One told my friend she would regret breaking up with him after he “hammers”. Poor girl was confused because she met him broke, dated him broke and left him broke but not because he was broke -he was an arse. Bros didn’t see that side.
Dear Nigerian Men, you don’t need anyone to make you feel like a man or to depreciate so you can appreciate.
There’s nothing more sexy than a man who fans the embers of his woman and takes a step back with a smile to let her shine.
Have a great day
