Sammie Okposo Praise Party 2016 #SOPPUK is a fab party of praise, power and passion for Christ

Sammie Okposo needs no introduction on the Naija gospel scene. He is well known as a praise artist, and his energy on the stage sets him apart as someone who really loves what he’s doing, his wild abandon for the love of his God has helped give rise to equally exuberant young artistes.

And since we’re nothing if not a God-loving nation, it made sense for him to bring the hallelujahs and the “Praise Him!” shouts to the UK where cold breeze and bills have dampened our fervour somewhat.

Last weekend, the praise maestro performed at The Lighthouse in Camberwell alongside other gospel artistes such as Nikki Laoye, Akpororo, Eben, Enkay, Dayo Bello and Tim Godfrey. The music rang loud and the hall was filled with people communing with their God.

There is so much going on that gives us unrest in this world, that I firmly support anything that brings solace, comfort and a sense of hope. Congratulations to Sammie Okposo on a well-organised and well-attended event, but also on giving the people of London a renewed spring in their step.
